DBT x I AM ALS

A new brand identity and patient-centered website drove 100,000 new visitors to the I AM ALS site and increase email engagement 3x above industry standards.

Establish a brand-new organization’s tone of voice, look, and digital tools while making sure its emergence on the scene breaks through in a crowded social atmosphere.

Building Power Through Digital Communities

Imagine going about your everyday life and a regular visit to your doctor leaving you with devastating news. That is what happened to our client and his family. He was diagnosed with ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

Our client was driven by his own experience to build an organization and community base that made it easier and less intimidating for people to find ALS resources, find their community and draw awareness around the need to fund research striving to cure ALS and other neurological diseases.

Patient Centered

We worked closely with the organization to turn the founders’ vision into words on a page, a system of strong brand marks, a brand toolkit and a new website.

Using a strong flexible site that allowed I AM ALS’ unique voice, story, and goals to take center stage. Data integration was a core component  to ensure the client’s ability to track growth and make future data informed decisions. And we tapped into the organization’s built-in influencer network to optimize and amplify the launch moment.

And we worked to use the variety of brand colors to pair with and play up different messaging for different audiences. These elements were used on the social media and email outreach campaigns.
