The 2020 election saw one of the highest voter turnouts in history. Even in the midst of a pandemic, voters still found ways to make their voices heard at the ballot box. One of the largest voting blocs to do so: Latine voters. According to the Center of Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies, one in ten voters were Latine.
Latine voting rates rose from 47.3% in 2016 to 53.7% in 2020. So, how can campaigns and advocacy groups ensure that Latine voters continue to turn out in high numbers when going into an important midterm election year?
Our latest episode of Do Big Talks explores the ways in which Latine voter outreach can make or break a race, and truly impact our elections. Senior Vice President of Digital Engagement, Catherine Algeri, and Do Big Things CEO, Henri Makembe, discuss best practices. Watch it below!
