Tova Vance empowers the DBT team to think creatively while effectively helping clients leverage digital communication to fulfill their missions. As the leader of operations, finance, and internal communications, she fosters a positive, supportive, and inclusive culture where team members can be their best selves and do their best work.
Tova draws from extensive experience in strategic planning, organizational development, workplace culture, and communications. She honed her people-centered approach through advising executives at organizations of all sizes, where she helped instill a sense of purpose and connect business strategies to vision and values.
Her work in the nonprofit space includes raising the visibility of the Comer Family Foundation and helping to increase the impact of programs in climate research, harm reduction, education of youth of color, anti-bullying, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy. Through her partnership with Gagen MacDonald, a leading firm on culture and the human elements of business transformation, Tova enhanced the employee experience for hundreds of thousands of people and improved business performance across industries and geographies.
Tova earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism at the University of Oregon and Master of Science in Communication at Northwestern University. She lives in Oakland, California with her husband, Robert, and their kids, Isa and Soren.
